Black Forest Bathing Paradise
The Project
The Black Forest Bathing Paradise is going to be a bathing and swimming adventure spot for your whole family. There will be a wellness and relax area of tropical atmosphere as well as different spa pools. Admission to this area is limited to the age of 16 so that rest and recreation are guaranteed.Next to this area - but separated soundproof by a glass wall - is the water slide paradise, especially for the young ones looking for action, together with a wave pool. 4 giant slides offer rapid descents. Up to 4000 slide runs per hour are possible.
You'll also find a large sauna area.
Additionally, there will be a sports swimming pool with 5 courses and 2 diving platforms, also available to schools and clubs for training and competition purposes.
The Building
The bathing and swimming paradise is going to be realized in ”Hirschbühl”, a local district of Titisee. At the moment, the area is used as an additional parking lot. As regards transport facilities, it is favourably situated at the traffic junction of the B31/B317, only a few minutes to walk from Titisee station or the main Titisee parking lot.On the whole, the construction pattern of the projected bathing paradise follows the typical Black Forest farm house. The most impressive modern feature is, above all, the dominant glass construction with a roof that can be opened. With a size of 120 m x 95 m and a height of up to 27 m, the building has room enough for 600000 bathers per year at maximum.
The total costs of this common project of different Upper Black Forest communities are 30 Million Euro. Of this financial load, the Wund Company bears 55%. The communities taking part in this project (Breitnau, Eisenbach, Feldberg, Friedenweiler, Hinterzarten, Lenzkirch, Löffingen, Schluchsee, St. Märgen and Titisee-Neustadt) and the administrative district pay 45% as an initial single contribution. The Company Wund from Friedrichshafen is going to be responsable for the planning, construction and business running. The company is already experienced with its thermal baths in Erding/Munich and in Bad Wörrishofen.
