Hiking in St. Märgen
Hiking around the monastery village of St. Märgen in the extremely varying landscape with its beautiful panorama is full of adventures and highly impressing. If you go on a rambling on your own or with a tour guide or take part in an adventure tour for getting to know Black Forest agriculture and traditions — you'll have fun, that much is certain!
Not far away from our village centre, there is the ”Pfisterwald”, best suited for long walks, with a big parking lot which is the starting point for hiking tours in the direction of ”Hochwald”, ”Wildgutach” and ”Thurner”.

St. Märgen is embedded in a wonderful hiking area along the famous hiking path ”Westweg Pforzheim — Basel” and the ”German Clock Route”. Nature phenomenen like the ”Zweribach waterfalls” or the ”Balzer Hergott” make all your hiking tours an unforgettable adventure. More than 60 km of paths are waiting for you.
