The biggest White Pine Hall in Germany
Aiming at promoting regional consciousness, initiatives and products as well as a suitable landscape management and an ecologically reasonable tourism, St. Märgen has built a multi-functional white pine hall in the area of the nature adventure park "Pfisterwald".
This new hall is also meant to be used by the St. Märgen sports club longing for a new and modern club house. By meeting different interests, in particular by integrating rooms for the sports club and the bikers'group, the smallest possible size of greenland is used at minimal expenses.
The height of the hall is between 13 and 16 metres, varying because of the different terrain features. According to a forest expert, the new St. Märgen hall is likely to be the biggest white pine hall in Germany. It's an example of the diverse usability of white pine timber as construction material. Construction and construction material are selected following the traditions of old Black Forest farm houses.
The new white pine hall allows to offer a landscape and environment protecting touristic programmme like horse-riding, cross-country skiing, mountainbiking, fitness and walking training, nordic-walking and beach volleyball under bad weather conditions, too.
The whole range of white pine hall, community hall and surroundings could be used for extra-municipal commercial exhibitions and other events, too. The interior of the halls, their size as well as the area outside meet most various demands.
